Scamp threshold gasket replacement?

I'm replacing my door orginal seals on my 2007 13' Deluxe with the current seals sold by Scamp. I have the door surround completed and have the threshold old seal removed and completely cleaned up ready to install the new threshold seal purchased from scamp. I was surprised to find a 6" black flat metal bracket under the old seal at the bottom right corner of the door opening. This bracket does not fit flat against the body.
My question is-- does the new threshold rubber fit over this bracket or should I try to squeeze that portion of the seal onto the metal threshold strip leaving the bracket exposed? If I run the seal over the bracket, half the tape on the seal will be on the bracket and half on the threshold metal frame for that 6" causing that corner to stick out more than the rest of the seal.
As I didn't expect to find that bracket at the bottom of the door I didn't pay much attention as to how the orginal foam seal fit on that corner. Appreciate any input from those that have replaced this seal or have a new Scamp, assuming the new trailers have this bracket on the door, as to how the seal fits from Scamp.
Thanks in advance!

Called scamp, they said to put the threshold seal directly over the bracket. Well, after looking carefully at the threshold, threshold seal, where the door gasket aligns on the threshold gasket ends, I chose to mount it slightly higher on the threshold bracket end. I also cut a small notch in the backside of the gasket on each end so it fits tight against the plastic door edging as well as fiting snug against the vertical portion of the door seal on both ends.

yep; methinks you got it right...

I'm a couple of weeks ahead of you on this... I put a new door gasket on my 19' Scamp in June. Otherwise I would have benefited from seeing your post.

I first tried doing it behind the bracket on the door, and then realized I needed to mount it on the bracket. In the end, I cut it about 1" or 1 1/2" too short. That doesn't seem to be a problem, but, again, I would have benefited from the info you just put out for all of us. THANKS!

BTW: It takes awhile for the new gasket to compress a bit, making the door hard to close. After struggling for a month or so when closing it, it's finally closing fairly reliably. I know I've seen some posts about those who have shimmed their door, but I think one needs to give it a month or so to let the gasket compress, and then decide. (Of course, if you can't close the door at all, you probably need to shim it).
