This month's Sunset has a feature on a couple who remodeled their 1960s Vintage Serro Scotty Highlander. It's not an FGRV, but "canned ham." However, it's great seeing a little trailer get the star treatment, even if most of the 5-page remodel was cleaning, redecorating, painting
the interior a robin's egg blue. It came out quite nice.
When I read the quote, "When I saw the ad for ours, I knew I just had to see it, even though it was two hours away!" I had to laugh, Just TWO HOURS!?
By the way, an RV show in Santa Clara Ca two years ago, I saw Serro or some other company, reissued the Scotty in its original look in an attempt to capitalize on the retro fad. I wonder what became of it? My guess is it couldn't compete with the other stickies on a price/feature basis, but it sure was cute!
