Yeah, and that's a good sized shop vac too. Fiberglass is insidious stuff.

Reace who started Escape based the molds off of the Surf Side design so no surprise they both have the pontoon.

Wow good to know.. I was really wishing I could afford an Escape. But I saved 30 grand by going for a 19 ft Fun Finder X. I know it's not Fiberglass but we love it.

As part of the work on the Surf Side I like to save some factory stuff. Like the Bargman door latch. The keys were lost some time ago , and instead of taking the latch off and having the locksmith make new keys they just mounted lots of padlocks and hasps over the years. I had keys made !

And filled a lot of holes ! It's just the right thing to do.

Paint is Next !

All the patching is done. I've masked off the bits I don't want painted. Also caulked around a few things with Pro-Form PF-213 paint-able sealer. Time to clean the shop and the trailer .. This is the last time you will see the green !

First coat of primer on.. so now I find a few goobers to fix.. Not that it's got to be perfect.. but it's easy between the primer coats.

I love working with the Interlux products. I can brush or roll these on and get very good results. If you have limited space and don't want to make a mess spraying.. or spending thousands on getting it done in a bodyshop.. This is the way to go. I treat these fiberglass trailers like I would a boat. This is also a thicker paint finish. The second coat of primer will be the gray. That way I can see when I miss a spot.

Well if you are thinking of painting... then yes. Not cheap.. when the paint dries on this trailer I'll have spent around $400. But I can do it myself ...in my shop.. in the winter. So for me this is and has been the way to go. I've made a short Video too.

I may have gotten a bit carried away.. But I scaled down some of the letters. A bit more tasteful I think. And the Triple e is not the same font.. Could not find that one. If anyone knows what it is please let me know. Also slowly gathering my parts and supplies. got a new stove.

Hey Rob. Your pace is almost as impressive as the results. Love the color scheme.

My Wife loves it.. Working on re-biulding the windows. And I noticed a few other threads where others were having window troubles.. So I made a video.

I made a second video on how to remove the top glass pane without taking the whole frame apart. It does not work for all Jalousie windows... just something I figured out with mine.

https://youtu.be/QtDdikDe0pA

The windows are of course all out of my trailer.. but you get the idea. Also something I missed in the other video was a shot of the finished door. I'm not putting the TM-14 decal on the door.. But it is going on... just not there.. And the little dot is a brass peep hole. It was there and it's back !

Starting to look like a trailer again. One inch vinyl trim insert works perfectly for covering the screws.

Today was running lights day.. officially ! And mine are different. That nice flat space ( Boler's don't have it ) was crying for some creativity. Combine that with my love of LED lights and this is what you get...
