The 1972 Boler Rebuild

I thought it would be time to show everyone our journey of our Boler`s restoration. We looked for over a year to find a Boler and we felt this was ours to bring back to life.

We thought she had good bones and was something we can work with. We love the color

The PO had attempted to use some cheap dollar store tape to cover the seams but that did not work at all

Here is a shot of the frame that rusted away and needed to be replaced

Another shot of the rusty frame in the step up to the kitchen/bed

We replaced the floor where the bed is and used trucke bed liner on all the floor areas both top and bottom

Our newly fixed/repaired/modified frame. Thanks to our Grandpa for welding it and also thanks to Victoria Powdercoating for the nice pain job!

We decided to upgrade to a 2 inch coupler

Our 2 inch lift with added supports for the axle.

More resto pics

We added the over the stove window had the fridge grills powdercoated and added the marine grade inlet and new water inlet.

The axle with brakes that we ordered through Paul Neumeister

The excellent kitchen design by Lindsey. It looks so great

The new 14 inch wheels from Princess Auto stuffed under our Boler and rides so smooth.

The new floor and trim work and a large Ice Box installed. Our furnace grill which was also finished by uncle's powder coating shop.

The newly added awning that looks so great!

Nice, very nice!

Wish I had family that could weld and paint and powdercoat.

Nice! If we didn't live so far away, I'd come knocking to see if we could hire you to check our frame and repair any major damage.

Great looking Resto! I bet those wheels ride smooooth. One thing, maybe you could hang the broom underneath to keep the dust/dirt off the counter.

Boys!! Hi Matt's wife here...I took some nice pictures of our interior which Matt overlooked, I only have a couple on my phone but I will post some more tonight from the computer, here are the few I have right now We also worked really hard on the interior, not just axles & body work (although there was lots of that too)!

Like the large grommets on the curtains, Lindsey. It's wonderful seeing the creativity others put into their trailers.

how did you do the stainless steel bar running across the kitchen cabinet? Great idea using hanging cups/storage. Was it possible from Ikea? Towel bar installed connectors to cabinet? Like it!

Hi Bev,

Yes you are correct that those bars and cups are from Ikea and that is what they are for. I think the are originally designed to be mounted on a wall.

Thanks
