Tire jack placement decal

I want to thank Kenneth from Wisconsin for the great idea about the decal to place on the frame as to where to place a jack when replacing a tire.
Since I had my new tires installed to-day I did not have enough time to order the decals, so I made my own with my Brother P-Touch.

This worked out fine, as I shown the tire installer the wording I applied to the frame area. The new tires are Carlisle ST175/80R13 LRC Speed Rating 81mph.

You might notice that a few days before, I scrubbed the entire frame and sprayed painted it with Rust-Oleum Semi-Gloss Black. I was noticing rust forming after a year of service, most noticeably on the frame area after the tires. It is most likely because of the rain water spray from the tires. Also all frame areas that face front as well.

Protective coat the decals with some clear acrylic spray or the greasy road grime will damage the lettering. The ink was not made to withstand that environment. The spray will also help seal coat the edges. But after spraying spray some in a cup and do an extra coating on the edges so that the adhesive does not get exposed to the greasy road grime. That label adhesive could fail over time but the coating on the edge will help prevent it from have the decal lift at the edges.

Thanks K.C.,

It's either that or I print new labels when needed.
