TMS Military Stove - option for add-a-room

I saw this today and thought this would be an possible idea for an add-a-room option. Check it out and look at the cheaper stand alone stove, without kettle. Can't really go too wrong at this price.
Disclaimer: Could be a possible fire hazard in the wrong hands.

Looks like a large pain in the butt to own, fuel, and clean compared to a propane grill. I'm not whittling wood so it fits in this thing!

Hope you read the actual reviews. This sounds like a piece of cheap Chinese junk that some buyers were willing to put up with due to it's cheap price.

1. Paint burns off with first 2 uses and has to be repainted
2. Metal is very thin
3. legs are loose and it wobbles
4. Door does not fit well
5. OK if you can fix a few things !

Not that I would ever consider a wood burning stove, I think I would keep looking if I absolutely had to have one......

I had one similar in a small cabin I built of cedar shakes. Woke up at 3am one time and the thing was jumping up and down and roaring 'woof, woof' as it sucked all the air out of the room.
I'd filled it with green wood before going to bed, but it wasn't wet enough.
Lucky to be alive.
The one illustrated looks even cheaper and more flimsy than the one I had ( especially the legs ).

If you must burn wood go find a Tractor Supply store. They sell a variety of safe wood stoves at very reasonable prices. Problem is safe wood cook stoves or heating stoves weigh a lot! Safety starts with heavy metal or cast iron...not cheap China sheet metal. I also hope you don't plan on using anything like that for heat inside a travel trailer...if you do make sure your life insurance is paid up to date. Most wood burning stoves are not approved for use in Mobil homes or travel trailers....better safe than sorry!

Happy Camping

I looked at this one also, thinking it might be a good strategy for heating a lot of hot water for showers, but the reviews did turn me off.
