As there doesn't seem to be much detailed information on the Casita Heritage model with side bunk beds, I've been getting asked lots of questions about ours. So this is a video tour of a lot of the features and functionality of our 2021 Casita Heritage Deluxe 17' and also includes some of the modifications we've made in the 3 months we've owned her.

The Heritage name is new, but the layout itself has been around for years as a “side bunk” option on the Spirit. Not very common. Maybe it will get a little more attention now that it has its own name.

Nicely appointed and great storage. But where did you find the spring cabinet door latch, to hold that cabinet door open??? I need one.

And here is what I did to keep that cabinet door open:

My first attempt was a zero cost version by using a binder clip (on the door) and a drapery hook (on the carpet above the door). Simply swing the clip on the binder clip onto the drapery hook.

My second (and final version) is an extension spring and two small screw eyes (approximately $8.00).

I’ve made a few updates since posting this video to prepare for our trip from Charlotte, NC to Wyoming. We've been extremely pleased with how these updates have performed on our journey and made the trip so much better. This video shows the following updates: clothesline, mounting rearview camera outside, weboost cell phone booster, shoe holder, closet usb and 12V, paper towel holder, electric lighter, curtains, inverter and indoor/outdoor thermometer/hygrometer.
