Well I have the trailer off so its off to the Shop for sandblast
paint and a new axel. hoping the trailer is still straight and true but I have my doubts. Looking for a little info on the plates to be welded at the bend. Have Dave's schematic from this post.

But how thick and long are they?
As for axels it looks like most people are going with a Dexter #9 although most people agree that 2200 pounds is too beefy. most people are adding an inch to inch and a half more height to accommodate a lager tire.
I am also putting on a new jack and converting it to a 2 inch ball.
Anything I am missing Folks?
