Trillium 1300 - Sofa Uncomfortable

Due to the thickness of the back rest on the front sofa, the seat is too short for comfort. I'll never have a use for the upper bunk so wonder if anyone has replaced the back rest with something thinner. If so, what and how did you do it?

Clark, a number of people have removed the backrest (upper bunk portion) in other brands of trailers, with the intent to make the seat portion wider for sleeping. Big fluffy pillows are then often used in place of the backrest. Pillow are a great way to decorate too.

We ordered our '08 Scamp without the seat back and had them make us a bottom cushion that filled the whole seat area. We've been happy with this arrangement.

Thanks Donna, and also Jeff for your input. Donna, large pillows would look great and would be a very inexpensvie solution.

BTW, I've been a Trillium owner for only a few days and have spent lots of time looking at ideas here. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of information I've found and have only scratched the surface. Thanks to you and others for all of this. What a great site. I hope someday I'm able to give back.

That is what we did with our Trillium 1300, Donna. Bunk is gone. We now have three "body" pillows (from Target, I think) that DW covered in fabric to complement the curtains and bedding (sorry, no pictures just yet). But it works just fine for sitting or lounging. Remove pillows to use as spare bed (sparingly...three's a crowd!)
