Hi everyone ..... I'm new here, this is my first post.
I bought a 1980
Trillium Jubilee 15' just over a week ago and we took it down over the line to a campsite at Grandy Creek in Washington this past weekend ( we live in Surrey BC )
The trip went well and my little 3.0L Ford Ranger pulled it very nicely. I had been looking for a
Boler to get the minimum
weight possible and I was a bit hesitant about the
Trillium at a rated 726kg dry. The fact that it had
brakes swayed me and I was glad it did because everything went so well.
Anyway ....... me being a habitual renovator, I started tearing out some of the inside today. I have removed the front bunks and seat bases as we want to be able to not have to make up the bed every night. So I will create a small dinette at the front and the bed can be left made up all the time.
I have also pulled out the laminate flooring, it was in decent shape but not to our liking .... probably got rid of 15 - 20 lbs right there.
There is vinyl underneath and I have to remove that also as the laminate was PL'd down. There are a few squeeks in the floor and I am hoping that, when I get the vinyl up, what I believe is an underlayment ply beneath it can be screwed down to the structural ply to get rid of the squeeks ..... anyone have any thoughts on this.
What I'm really looking for though is ideas on finishing materials and practical but attractive layouts and I'm wondering if there are any galleries of photos of other peoples projects that might give me ideas and fire my imagination. I am a Carpenter & Joiner by trade so I can take are of the doing, it's the conceiving that I'm a bit weak on.
Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give .
