Truck bed liner on exterior

Anyone use that roll on bed liner on camper? I'm considering putting it underneath and about a foot up the side. Wondering if it needs any special surface prep.

I used a product called Grizzly Grip on the lower front of our Uhaul. There was old repaired damage there that I wanted to cover and also as a rock guard. Put on with a roller or brush, available in several colors. May not be as thick as bed liner.

I used a product called monstaliner from maginetpaints.com and was very pleased. monstaliner This product can be colored to come close to matching your gelcoat. They sent me color samples but they were too dark so I called them and they instructed me to use a full container of white and add a very small amount of another color. I used "Killerbee" and got a color very close to the Bigfoot color. I did the propane-battery cover on the Bigfoot and a quart was plenty Prep requires a good sanding. I was impressed with the technical help I received on the phone and they have great sense of humor too. They make a dark yellow color they call "Urinetrouble". My kind of people !Great people to do business with !!
