Uhaul 13: removed the solar panel

The original solar panel wasn't producing enough power to use, so I replaced it with a white Starboard panel.

Any ideas of a use this flat area could be put to?

Storage, antennas, more powerful solar panel...

Hi Brooke, good to see you back. Me, I'd slap another solar panel on top. There have been some huge deals lately at Solar Blvd.

How about this little 15 watt for just $18? It is about the right size.

Solar Cell, Solar Panel, Solar PV, Solar Products, Charge Controllers, Solar Trackers

I replaced mine with a 50 watt unit that does keep two 6 volt batts. In series well maintained. I have another 100 watts for whenever I am off the grid. You will likely have to fabricate some brackets out of aluminum angle to meld the attachment locations together.

Good point, I actually stuck a 60 watter onto my old bracket using some aluminum crossbars.

Thomas, I like how you did yours. It looks like a good size for the top of a U-13.
