Where to buy Fiberglass materials
Hello. I was going around town today with the intention of getting the fiberglass and resin to do some repairs. I went to an RV shop and marine shop, but neither carried any.
Where do you guys get your Fiberglassing supplies in your town? Or are there any online places that deliver to Canada

In addition to the above, Princess Auto also carries cloth, resin, etc. They provide a pretty good on-line service. I'm pretty sure that most of these sources carry "Bondo" brand products. I have no idea where they sit on the quality, cost, etc. scale but they've been fine for the limited fiberglass work I've had to do.

Almost any place that sells car stuff. Mine came from the local farm and barn stores. Be sure to wear a mask when you sand.
I used a kit like this to fix my lawn mower this summer.

I've used RAKA.com for the epoxy & FG cloth materials for my van build. They cater to small boat builders in FL. They have good prices and are very helpful with advice via phone. I don't know about shipping to Canada but a phone call will clarify that. BTW, I would recommend using epoxy resin as opposed to the cheaper but weaker and more temperamental polyester. It will bond very well to any type of existing FG and can provide up to an hour of working time. The addition of filler yields a wide range of viscosity.

I managed to find some nice cloth and now I’m trying to decide what resin to use
I can get an auto body resin for either $86 or $108 Canadian. They come with a tiny packet of hardner. Or I can buy an epoxy marine resin (2-1 ratio) for $300 after taxes.
Not sure which is the best one to use...any advice would be appreciated.

Canadian Tire sells different sized kits so you can get the size you need depending on your job.

Lee Valley also carries some Fiberglass, in Canada.
Also try R&R Fiberglass in Redcliff, Alberta.
Also any "good" Marine Stores carry Fiberglass Supplies.

I called evercoat and talked with the rep for my region. They told me not to waste my money on a ‘premium’ epoxy resin like West 105. Said that I can used any of the auto body store brands and it will accomplish what I want. If I was fixing the hull of a boat that is below water, the. Use epoxy resin.
So I guess i’ll start with the $86 resin and see how it goes

Fibreglass source.
G'day: Noah's Marine in Toronto carries just about everything you could possibly need for almost any kind of build or repair. They will ship anywhere.
