Lake Casitas Rally Oct 2020

Lake Casitas is not taking any reservations right now. So hold out trying to get online or call to make your reservation for our rally in October.
As soon as they open this up, so we can make reservations, I'll repost an update.

Lake Casitas Rally Oct 2020

No news yet on opening up Lake Casitas. I check their website 2 times a week. When I hear of any new information I'll post it. You're welcome to check the lakes website also for camping reservations.

Lake Casitas Rally Oct 2020

Hi CampingBliss
Yes our rally is open to Scamps. In fact our rally has been an evolution and some who have sold their fiberglass are still with us in SOB (some other brand).
If you'd like to be on our mailing list please PM me and I will communicate to you directly, since I don't always read posts here. And this way you'll have the most recent updates. One of the most important one now is, can and when we can make a reservation at the park!
We look forward to meeting and camping with you.

could you add me to any announcements email list, jhn.pierce@gmail.com ?

[s]and, I'm trying to figure out *where* the Bass loop is from Google Maps and coming up blank. nowhere on the reservation site can I find an overall map of the area.[/s] <= ok, never mind, had to come in from the top, NOT the reservations link. and the map shown on the reservations page is flipped with north down which is why I couldnt' find it by matching google satellite view....

THIS is the Bass area...

Lake Casitas Rally Oct 2020

Hi John
Thanks for your email. I sent you a message and how to make a reservation at the lake for our rally next month.
As it stands right now, we still can't make a reservation, but we should be able to at the beginning of October.

Frederick & Robert will be in B25. I understand they are limiting Bass to 50% capacity for Covid-19 Spacing. Hookup sites are not available there as of this morning.

Looks like last spot filled in Bass

I just called the Casita Lake office today (Fri 9/18 4:45pm). They stated that ALL spaces are being rented (not 50% like some campgrounds). I got the last space B29 (tent space and no hookups).

I'm brand new to Fiberglass RV.... I've a vintage Compact Jr. that the interior was mostly gutted. I hope to get my DMV registration in time, otherwise, I'll come with my Jeep and tent. If I can bring it, please know it's a "work in progress"... but am happy to have found my "Little Caboose" here in Los Angeles!

also note the 'lake' shown on the campsite map is really more like a dry creek, the actual lake starts more like 3000 feet south of there.

I note Lake Casitas is /very/ strict about no person and no pets going in or even near the lake water or any creek that drains into it, other than completely inside a rented boat.

Also note, all flotation devices are not allowed. I had to lock up my new blow up raft in their cage last year, until I left.
