yes it's right around the corner. Wife and I spent 12 hours getting stuff in order to take to the campground. It will take 2 trips but we hope we will get everything there and not forget anything.
I will be at the campground maybe Tuesday with the first load, then again on Wend. with all the rally stuff.

Went to the campground yesterday to finish getting things for our campsite set up. Saw the first Spring Flingers there, Jef and Dodie.
Came back home to get all the Spring Fling items packed in the SUV and a little more shopping for a few more items and will arrive there Wend.
I still need to clean the grill we will be using for the supper and make sure I will have LP gas and firewood for morning fires all set up from the GM.

here at the campground today and already checked in 4 of the 5 Spring Flingers who arrived early.
I was off site most of the day today meeting with campground staff and cleaning the grill, getting it ready for Friday night.
Weather is suppose to be great with no rain right up till Sunday.
Should be a great Rally.

I'm very sad to say that I and Zoe the corgi won't be attending. I just tested positive for Covid this morning. I was visiting a friend over the weekend and went to a dog show. Both she and her husband tested positive and now I have. I'm really going to miss the fun and visiting at the rally. I was so looking forward to it. Now, I've got to hitch up the trailer and head home.

BTW I had prime pull through site 47 reserved so if anyone wants to grab it, please do.

I will miss you all but I hope you have a fabulous time and really enjoy the good weather.

Yes I'm bummed to miss the rally. I was so looking forward to it. I won't be able to do my demo on reinforcing the Casita awning but if anyone wants the instructions, I got them from this youtube video:

We are bummed as well to miss the rally. After being exposed to COVID last week, I have come down with a wicked cold and cough. We hope to see you all next year. Thanks to Gerry and Barb for all you have done to get this rally off the ground! Our site will be up for grabs.

We are winding down to the last couple of days of the Spring Fling in New England Rally and this evenings Pot-Luck supper was a big hit with the grand raffle give away and again many thanks to the Spencers, owners and the staff at CVV for making this weekend most enjoyable.
They really bend over backwards for our group.

Enjoy a "gorge"ous view. Bonnie RB and Fallon at the precipice
Stay in the cool water at our site's edge.
Loons, Mallards, pickerel, and snakes wouldn't stay still long enough to photo.

Well another Spring Fling is in the Bag ... I want to thank all the great people who joined me and my wife over the past 9 years it has been nothing short of a Great time.

I know John, Jane, Allen and Lorain will do a great job in years to come and as for myself I have made my reservation for the 2023 Spring Fling Rally, which will be held on May 18 - 21 of next year.

Very excited to be receiving our Casita Spirit Deluxe next month and are already looking for meet ups for next year. We live in NY and are active VW bus campers and have very much enjoyed camping (and will continue to camp) with our kindred spirits in the VW community. We are hoping to find similar camaraderie win the fiberglass community. Is there already a date set for Spring Fling 2023?
