2022, Sep 23-25: Wine Country Fiberglass Trailer Gathering Fall 2022

Wine Country Fiberglass Trailer Gathering 2022
Gallagher Lake, British Columbia, Canada

All molded fiberglass trailers are welcome! The Wine Country Fiberglass Trailer Gathering will be held Friday, September 23 to Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Gallagher Lake Resort. This popular resort is conveniently located 8 minutes north of Oliver and 22 minutes south of Penticton, BC. Shower and washroom facilities are available and well-behaved, on-leash pets are welcome!

The agenda will consist of a beer/wine exchange meet and greet on Friday, show and shine on Saturday morning and potluck on Saturday evening (subject to change). Arrive early and stay longer to enjoy the south Okanagan - dining and wine tasting at area wineries (tours can be booked at the reservation desk of the Resort) and at the District Wine Village, golfing, hiking and biking, and many other activities this beautiful area has to offer.

Please contact Gallagher Lake Resort directly at 1-250-498-3358 to book your site. Mention you are with the Wine Country Gathering and they will ensure our group is together. After you have reserved, please reply to me via email to: winecountrygathering@gmail.com with your name(s), where you are from, and your rig. A tentative agenda will be sent via email mid summer to registered attendees.

Hi Brenda, Joy and Tom,

#35 is in an area that does not allow pets. Is this where the group will be?

Thanks!

Chantal

Pets in lower campground

Good morning everyone!

All sites in the lower campground allow pets in the off season. Gallagher Lake Resort's website does not state that and I specifically asked that question when picking this campground. We have a dog as well and we are in #64.

Thanks!

Brenda

We have three small dogs, and that was my concern also, but the registrar assured me that because 70 percent or so of travelers travel with pets, they are upgrading their rules. Just to get this out there, he also told me that the lake is privately owned, and no fishing Lic. is required, so take your pole and try your luck. He also said the lake is only 800' wide, but 110' deep, so some big fish lurk way down deep.

Looking forward to meeting you too Chantal!

I live directly across the highway from the resort and venture through usually a couple times a week on my runs. I stopped in today to take some pictures of the lake and beach area as it's a beautiful day here today and will try to post them but the orientation keeps turning on me so I'll have to figure that out. Tom - I didn't realize the lake was so deep - good to know. Another fishing spot is Vaseaux Lake, known for large mouth bass fishing and home to a migratory bird sanctuary. Vaseaux Lake skirts along highway 97 and is 7 minutes north of Gallagher Lake with many access points to conveniently fish from shore. Non-motorized boats only and a provincial freshwater fishing license is required. For the paddlers of the group, it's a great place to kayak or canoe.

Brenda, Change of numbers. Joy and the dogs will not be making the trek to Gallagher Lake, it will just be me. She decided she likes shorter, closer-to-home trips, and gets concerned when the dogs start asking, will we ever see our home again?

Hi Brenda,

Just sent you and email, but thought I'd respond here, as well.

I'm a first-timer to a Boler/FG camper meet and looking forward to it. I have a 1978 1700. I've booked site 75 and will be travelling with my sister and two well-behaved pooches.

Looking forward to the experience!

Landed Wed afternoon, site 32. Site 35 being saved for a larger unit, has probably the best view. Beautiful campground.

Hi Tom - I was on my way to Osoyoos yesterday around 3:30 and saw you on the highway just north of the town. My neighbor told me he saw other FG trailers pulling in earlier today so I'll be heading to the campground around 3 pm to have a quick visit with anyone who is around.

See you later!
