Newbies are arriving

Bought our Casita a few weeks ago and just signed up for a campsite (#8) for the nights of June 7th and 8th. Also signed up for a primitive site (13P) for June 9th and 10th. We are looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great time!! The train was sold out for those days so maybe next year we can do that.
See you all soon!

we are coming this year for the first time. Site 29. Hope it's level. Waited too late for the train lunch. If someone cancels let me know. Anyone else coming here after Hiawasse? And is there separate registration for the rally?

I'm late in posting or even seeing this thread, we did already reserve spot 2 last year. Hope we can still make it but Marilyn has several health issues that decided to bother her at the same time, so those might very well prevent us from coming.

Sorry to hear that. Give her my love and my hope it's a temporary setback.

To JChaney…Site 29 is definitely not level. You will have a pretty good upward rise as you back in. Be sure to bring several blocks to put under your front jack to help level. Many sites are not very level in this park. But previous campers have made it work OK!

Hello Troy and Anita. I can’t make it this year, but would love to join you in 2024. Do you have dates for that rally? Thanks!

After a couple of cancelations, the campground has blocked site 10 for our rally. If you want it, call the campground to reserve it or change from boondocking. Also, site 30 is available, but it is not blocked. It is open on the website.

News from the state park... a semi has wrecked on Loretto Road, Highway 49, south of the campground, and the road will be closed for an unspecified amount of time. You can come in from Highway 150 and turn on to Loretto (right by the McDonald's) and still get in the campground. Safe travels and sew you soon.

They got the semi cleared last evening sometime. Highway 49 is clear again.
