TN | 2024, Oct 18-20: King of the Wild Frontier gathering

Looks like the King of the Wild Frontier gathering will be held again Oct 18-20 2024.
Held at the David Crockett birthplace state park in NE TN (not to be confused with the David Crockett state park in middle TN)

Lots of people arrive the Monday before and depart the Monday after.

I have not attended this rally below. There has been no recent post here and nothing on the Facebook group either.
Is anyone going to this? What area/sites in?

I know several people that are going. My Sister in her Scamp and me with my Escape are headed there the 14th -21st. We normally camp in the electric/water sites, but most campers take the full hookup sites.
Some of the premium full hookup sites don't allow the senior discount (in case that applies) but I think only the one line of sites closest to the river are considered "premium".
It's no longer an organized "rally" and is more a gathering of people with similar tastes in camping trailers that have become friends over the years. Lots of impromptu dinner meetups, etc, and the campground usually has a few things going on too.

It’s a lovely area with an interesting display of frontier era buildings (replicas), an easy access to the river, a couple nice pavilions. We attended a couple of years and always had a nice time. If the antique tractors and gas engine guys are there, the equipment is fun to look at and they have a 15 minute parade through the campground on Saturday morning that merits more than a smile. We happen to have other plans for the week or we would consider going again. The pot luck that was organized was very good. And the singing well let’s say there was singing.

I just booked Site 6. Arrive Friday Oct 16, depart Sun Oct 20.

According to the State Park website, there is the event:
Fall Catch-Up & Muster Flintlock Competition 2024
on Saturday Oct 19.
