The dates for the Hungry Mother rally in 2024 will be Thursday, October 24 to Sunday, October 27.
I'll be meeting with Kevin, the new park manager, to finalize details, but reservations will be available 11 months prior to the date of your arrival. I plan to request a larger number of sites be set aside for the rally and I think reservations will again be made by calling the park directly. I'll have confirmation and further details by the end of this month.

My nephew has thoughtlessly scheduled his wedding for that weekend. I'm bummed, but already looking forward to seeing y'all in 2025!

I'm reserved for site 38, and the Guido's in site 37, arriving on October 23 & leaving on the 28th.

A reminder - you cannot use the normal on line or 800 # reservation system for this rally. You need to call the park office 276 781 7400 to reserve your site.

Arriving on Wednesday the 23rd and departing Sunday the 27th.

I'd like to get some feedback on something.
There's a fairly large, open, group camping area right across the road from Burson, no hookups. I've talked to the park manager briefly about making it available to individual rally members at a reduced rate, like maybe $20/night.
I'd like to get a feeling for how much interest there might be before I pursue it further. $20/night for boondocking in the group area with the option of upgrading to a Burson site when cancellations occur.
If you would like to attend and don't have a site would you register for that option? To keep the traffic down please only respond if your answer is affirmative.

I think it would work for many, and those that need hookups can still book a site at Creekside.

Remember, there will be cancellations as we get close to the rally so keep an eye on this thread for announcements.

I might be interested in the boon docking alternative, especially if we could be upgraded if someone cancels.

I just talked to Delores at the park who said there are now several open sites, both with and without sewer. It's unclear whether those are due to cancellations or the earlier info was in error.
