Earl Rally June 10 - 14th New Washoe, Nevada

This is a low key rally at Davis Creek Regional Park in New Washoe, Nevada.

No hookups but there are water spigots, bathrooms, hot showers and dump available as well as fishing if there is water in the pond and spectacular views. It is located in the Sierra Mountains with lots of pine trees at an elevation of 5,210 feet surrounded by hiking trails at elevations of 5,167 - 7,250 feet. Cost is $25 per night.

Davis Creek Regional Park is an extremely popular place and the campsites will fill up fast. Reservations are now open.

(This rally was formerly known as Scamp Camp held in Pine Grove, California.)

It is on my calendar ; we hope to make it. Especially with so many things cancelled and the Ford remanufactured engine in my Ranger gone out. Under warranty but it has taken many days so far for the decision to give me another remanufactured engine. I hope to get the new engine installed in a couple of weeks. I'll keep you up to date. BTW, camp Earl is named after a well-respected Scamp camp organizer, not the Earl that the Dixie Chicks sang about and rolled up in a rug ! LOL

I like that! 'Camp Earl'! and we can be the Earlettes, although Mike might object lol.

FYI - Earl Arrants has been the Wagonmaster extraordinaire of the April Fools, Scamp Camp, and the Nor Cal Roundup Rally's for many many many years, until his recent retirement. In his honor Scamp Camp is named Camp Earl.

Hope to see you there!

We live close to Davis Creek Regional Park, so we went over to check it out today. Nice place, but completely snowed in.

We are going to make reservations for the Earl rally.

Lee,

We are signed up for space 38. Yes, we are bringing the Black Series. Looking forward to seeing you and Norma

BTW, if anyone needs a spot either before or after the rally, we have lots of room and hookups here at home. We live SE of Gardnerville, about an hour from Davis Creek. PM me if you need a spot.

John and Liye

There were 3 campers, when we stopped by Saturday. All appeared to CC skiers.

Nevada - Davis Creek Regional Park

There are 62 campsites at this park (minus 8 that are either: for the camp host, held for walk-ins for June 10th, or closed for repairs).

As of today there are 28 sites left (including 2 handicapped sites).

The campground is filling up fast with fiberglass trailers!
Hope to see you there!

Manley,
We are making a reservation at Davis Creek for the 2 of us in our Bigfoot. I'm confused by the website...
Can we bring our dog? Can't find anything about pets on the website.
Must we reserve only 1 night? Can we stay 6/11-14 because we occupy the site?

Is Camp Earl in the Group RV Campground that's not shown on the map? All others are tents...

So frustrated! Sherry & Bill

I'll double check on the dogs but I believe they are ok.
The web page is a bit strange.
When you put the start date in, there is a drop down box right under that where you change "hour" to "days". Then you put in "4 days" and it will automatically put in the end date.
I sent you an email to call me and I'll walk you through it.
Send me your email and I'll put you on the email list.

"Yes, they are. Pets are $1 per pet per night!"

The bride and I drove over there this past Saturday just to check it out. We're looking forward to seeing everybody, and even Barney, our great pyrenese/newfoundland mix is looking forward to coming along! We'll be the crazy ones in the SOB with the four dogs! LOL! But, it's cheaper than paying alimony!

If you didn't get a spot for this rally next week, and would like to come, let me know.
