IL | Johnson Sauk SRA Henry County IL Aug 22-24 2025

Hi fellow campers. Ed and I have Johnson Sauk SRA in Henry County IL, reserved for Aug 21 thru 24th 2025 site 52. Do any other Casita campers want to join us? Maybe make a mini Casita/Fiberglass Rally? As of this post there are about over 20 campsites available for those that like to reserve in advance. There is a nice lake there and hiking trails for example. We plan on bringing our Kayaks.

This is the 1st time we are trying to do this kind of meet up. If it works out, maybe we will do this every year. Call it "Sauk it to me" meet up. Feel free to join us, stay as long as you wish.

Thinking about pulling over to your get together.. I have some optometry appointments about them so will have to “see” how they work into the schedule. It’s only 137 miles from our place which is effectively just around the corner. You had me at “ice cream store”.

There are some very nice park areas in Illinois. And some interesting history. Glad your exposing folks to
Wildlife Management Areas. They are an untapped resource in many cases

We reserved site 49 Aug 21-24.
Camped at Johnson Sauk Trail 15 years ago. It was a chilly March morning and saw a wolf chasing a buck right next to our campsite! I'm sure we won't see a wolf again, but we will hear coyotes at night!
