Hi: All... We really hope this rally is possible this fall. If the border opens and everyone has a "Shot in the arm" and a mask it just might be!!! Stay safe stay well.

Hi Alf,
Have you had any discussions with Riverside?

Today's news was a mixed message.

The city cancelled this years CNE (Canadian National Exhibition) which usually runs until Labour Day Weekend.

Then the Feds indicated that if we can hit 75% with their 1st vaccine AND 20% with their 2nd vaccine we might get to go camping in the fall.

The people that advise the Provincial Government were on the news saying we have to have the case #'s down and the Hospitals & ICU's have to be in a lot better shape before we can think about outdoor activities.

My take on all of this is that it looks like this meet is still a possibility.

Hi: Jon Vermilye... Great news. We're hoping to have our 2nd shots fired in the next few weeks. We'll have to see how Co-Vivid goes to know what activities we can have, but anything will be better than sitting here wishing and hoping!!!

Overnight camping almost ready!!!

HHi: All... I feel like a kid in school... almost ready for summer holidays to begin.
Hope the boarder opens for those of us with our shots and masks. Not sure what activities we will be allowed to have at Niagara Wine Escape but at the very least we can camp together... separately!!!

I just heard Trudeau will open the border in August to fully vaccinated Americans.
I hope that means we're a go for the Niagara Escape.
What say thee Alf?

We will be there with T1 (Trilly 1) and our daughter will be bringing our 2nd Egg. Love the Niagara area, so much to see and do and there should be some fresh fruit still available to buy roadside.

WASHINGTON, Aug 20 (Reuters) - The United States on Friday extended the closure of its land borders with Canada and Mexico to non-essential travel such as tourism through Sept. 21 despite Ottawa's decision to open its border to vaccinated Americans.

And with the rising number of cases down here they just might extend the closure again!!!

Hi: WaltP... I think the border is open for you to come into Canada... but not for us to go to the US. There is however an amount of paper work and tests required and both Vax. applications done to cross over the imaginary line. It seems like a mountain... between friends!!!

I agree it looks like crossing into Canada will be manageable. I am double vaxed and think the test will be available. It's the return I'm concerned with.
And who knows whether restrictions will be renewed by then, with the Delta surging. It's a wait and see I guess.

Read the post did not know about this.

We go camping August 29th at MacGregor Park back 3rd of Sepember
3rd of October over to MacGregor Park again till 7th. Of October.

Was hard to get spots this year.

Will mention this to my wife see what she says 6 hour drive south depending on traffic.

Check back to this thread, if campground is not full already. Do you have a number to call for booking if camp ground is not full?

Borden
