Ontario Bolerama?

Anyone know if there will be an Ontario Bolerama this year? It's one of my favorites.

Hello Walt,

I had to cancel my reservation last year because the border was (COVID) closed.

More info for 2022 is located here. This year it's on my list for the group camping area.

Talked to Fred a couple weeks ago and Bolerama is a go ,but not sure how the border situation will be in July , have many HC1 owners in Canada and eastern US who are itching to attend so fingers crossed .

Very glad to see this. When I googled Ontario Bolerama on my phone the first entry I saw was an oddly worded post that wrongly led me to believe it was cancelled. I sure plan to make it this year.

Can we confirm if this is happening?

We looked up the campground and shows no available sites.

When we try to reach the campground we get no answers.

Appreciate if anyone has any information.

Thanks,
Mark

I've always dry camped in the open field part. It's very large, never crowded and very sociable.

Indeed Bolerama will happen this year but yes the serviced sites may be gone . Their will be many non serviced areas available right up to the day of the rally which imho are better than the serviced sites anyway .

Bolerama

Hello,

We are planning to attend Bolerama for the first time. We wondered if we can come in early or stay a couple extra days in the group area or would we have to move? I've tried to reach the campground and get only the recording. Thanks in advance and looking forward to meeting folks.

I believe Fred has the use of the group site from Thursday until Monday but some have come even earlier with no problems , the serviced sites are usually gone for that weekend but may be available after the event .

Historically the campground blocks off all serviced sites from their online reservation system for the event.

This allows the campground to manually book sites for those attending the event. If any are available, you can get one by calling the campground using the instructions on Fred & Donna's event web page.

Serviced site :If you would like a camp site with water and electrical for this event these sites are right next to the group area. Reservations must be made through the Park office at 905-899-3462 for a serviced site starting March 21 2022 . Please mention Bolerama , and that you have a molded fiberglas trailer and the Staff will go out of their way to get you a site next to other participants. Let the phone ring if it goes to voice mail leave a message.

Shame this rally has not been promoted nor listed for others to see. My "next years list" always seems to get shorter as I get older....

This rally has been on Hidalga's list for several years. One of my favorites.
Sorry you've missed it. Haven't seen you in quite awhile.

My apologies Jim,
I have been unofficially posting the details and putting it on the rally map over the years for Fred. I failed to do it this year. I assumed that Mikmay posting it was a go back in January would have sufficed.

Life has gotten in the way of many things for me this year.
