2023, July 20-23: Oregon coast gathering 2023

Hello organizers of the Bullards Beach Gathering in Oregon, some of us are planning on meeting up at this event again this year but we see nothing posted anywhere on the dates for 2023. Is this happening this year?

Deb always posts on the CasitaForum. Here's the info: https://www.casitaforum.com/invboard...comment-317829

The six month bell to make reservations will ring sometime toward the end of this month. Remember, your reservation can be made only six months in advance of your ARRIVAL date.

I just saw notice of this gathering & have never attended any FB gathering in the past. However, it is already full, no campsites available. Rats.

Yeah, the campground fills pretty fast. And it's not unusual for attendees to camp for much longer than the four days of the gathering.

There are a number of gatherings closer to you, perhaps you'll find one or more you can attend. https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/vi...7642619619&z=3

Good luck!

I you are looking for a spot at Bullard's Beach for the Oregon Coast Gathering another option is to post a quick message on the CasitaForum.com that you are looking for a spot and ask that you be contacted before the cancellation is made. This happens often as it gets closer to the date of the gathering. At this point you and the person with the reserved spot would work out the details and payment to them. If you are a person with a reservation and has to cancel please post on this forum or the CasitaForum.com first so that a member of our molded fiberglass group can get in.

We go to Bullard's Beach at least once a year. The A loop is the best, although some spots are near the road. That being said, every morning a flock of turkeys walks thorough our campsite.

If you can avoid it, don't camp in C19. When the pads were being poured (whenthe park was being developed), the pad to C19 was poured perpendicular to the road. Maybe it's because the paving guy was a boater, rather than a camper, and he thought, it's easy backing ina boat trailer. And, especially during crabbing season, all you'll find in BB is boaters. But if you have even a small camper like a 17 ft Casita, C19 is a PITA to back into, with trees on either side of the pad entry point and a tree right across from it.

Put your coolers away every night. The raccoons LOVE campers who leave their coolers outside.

Otherwise Bullard's Beach is a great park. The town is just up the road a piece (and how far that is depends on how far in the country you grew up in. A piece can be a block or ten miles...;-)
There's a good laundry in town, a market, etc. And the beach rocks!

Hi! Recently a new Casita owner and would love to attend. We know that Bullards Beach State Park is full already and figure we can stay in the area with our 2021 Casita SD, but would like to attend all the fun. How do we sign up? Where can I get a list of events during this weekend? And more details on attending. Please let me know! Thank you! Joy

UPDATE.....

Deb called me and unfortunately she is in the hospital and doctors expect an extended stay for her so she will not be attending the gathering and has asked Jim and I to step in and help out with the gathering. Everything will proceed as planned with just a few site changes for events. The final agenda is below.

Anyone that can bring some wood for the Friday night hot dog roast that would be appreciated along with your fire starting skills!
