I wouldn't worry about it, you'll do fine. Quite a bit of room for backing and usually nobody is in any hurry to get by while you're in the process. If one of us can't help you, there usually is someone around to help guide you in.

Smile Some points to ponder:

We will try to come. Since our life situation, we don't make reservations, just show up and take what is available. Never seen Taidnapam fill up in the years we have been coming.

Good to see so many familiar names and new ones.

Hope to see you all in a couple of weeks.

After reading your posts, I think that some traditions may be mentioned:

The group usually gathers around the 200 numbered campsites the new section. The smaller numbers are in sites that are thickly forested.

Everyone please list your site no. Helps others group together. Like Martin P is going to have a commute from the 'old section' to our 'new section'.

I see only 18 sites available today. Might have to reserve!

Donna, are you coming?

Well, Crap! I had some family things come up which has made me cancel my reservation. I did have Site 280, June 3-7. Maybe better luck next year.

I’m in site #237
It will be fun seeing you guys us. Can’t believe it’s been almost 3 or 4 years since I’ve been up to the Taidnapam meet. Should be fun.

Smile Almost There

I know there are some concerns about COVID for our upcoming gathering so I thought I'd put this out there for some comment. We should all be mindful that this is still pretty serious stuff so common sense and attention to the little things is paramount. If you feel uncomfortable being in close quarters with others as we go about our daily routines please don't hesitate to voice your concerns. I think masks are totally appropriate when warranted and the minimum 6' distancing is something we should all pay attention to. I have not been able to find any kind of restriction guidance on the Tacoma Power site. Under the circumstances I think the pot luck is not something we should undertake this year. Hotdog roast....maybe? If small informal seated gatherings around a fire are acceptable to some then go for it. I think the best course of action is going to be "wait and see". I for one am just hoping for a camping get away to relax and above all, not have to worry about rain! Stay tuned....... Feel free to weigh in here.

I fully respect if some people are not comfortable yet joining in with group or socializing. ... I do think though that if some of us want to gather and i.e. have hot dog roast or other gathering we should be able to do.so,, .. but no pressure for those who choose not to participate. I come alone to these so certainly do want to be able to interact with others who are there and look forward to meeting new people. Thanks for asking. In fact I only come to these events so I can socialize with others in the group.... in addition to enjoying the outdoors of course!

The county is in Phase 3. Outdoor gatherings limited to 50 persons.

We should have no problems.

Still 13 sites available.

Hot Dog Roast?

So I assume Carolyn N. is offering to host the hot dog roast or gathering at her campsite - #233, for those who are interested?

We will arrive on 06/03/2021, depart 06/07/2021, site 271. We have had the covid-19 shots in Feb and March. a hot dog roast sounds fine with us. Am looking forward to seeing everybody. Have no problem wearing a mask. Don and Jerry

I think we'll leave the hot dog roast open for the time being but may possibly give it a try on Friday evening. At any rate, maybe come prepared with your own wieners & stuff for yourselves and we'll play it by ear as to when and where. Flexibility.....
