Saw one at CTC.It was only .7cu ft. would it be able to cook mutch? Most 750's don't seem to cook evenly, and a lot of small camps won't handle 1000 watts and up.
we were thinking about a microwave but agree that the only thing we use it for is to re-heat food and not cook food so we decided that a toaster oven was a much better investment.

I did purchase a 600W one at Kmart.. it was great for heating up small stuff and popcorn. I didnt seem to have any trouble there.. but I let it go with the 16ft when I sold it... I 'might' try to find another one for the 5er, but really havent made up my mind yet.. I like Gina's 'Jiffy" pop ... yes it does bring back alot of memories......
I have a crazy niece that dresses up in an indian headdress, and dances around the campfire at every yearly campout doing her "jiffy pop dance" The jiffy pop is popped over the fire and passed around for all to "enjoy" burnt or not. We would be at a loss at midnight without our Jiffy pop dance
As for the 600 watt microwave, all you can do is try it. If it warms up leftovers, tv dinners and pop corn that is good enough for me.

I've bought most of that kind of stuff at yard sales/flea markets with good results. Check around to find one fitting your dimensions. Bought my popcorn/camper MW for $25 several years ago.
I've seen .6 cubic foot microwaves at Wally-World for $38, IIRC. Very basic, just a dial that you turn and no LCD display.
I was going to get one but couldn't figure out where to put it in my rig.
