Cherry Pinapple Pie
I have eaten this one for years, learned it as a boy scout , cooked it in Dutch ovens. Now I do it simpler and cleaner in a pie shell in the oven.
One can heavy syrup type crushed pinapple(partially drain)
one can pitted sour cherrys(drain)
enough tapioca for thickening
as much or little sugar as your health and taste buds can stand
a few spots of butter here and there
Pour into a pie shell, cover with another pie shell for top
sprinkle sugar/cinnamon on top with the butter pats.
bake 45 minutes at 350 to 375
