I don't know what to call what I have been making all day, but it sure is GOOD!!! (And as a cook.. I am on the top ten list of suckiest cookers ever.. I suprised myself)

Get out yer crock pot!

2 cups chopped steak of some sort.. I used stew meat.
1 clove chopped garlic
1 can of good ole campbells french onion soup
2 cups vegitable broth. (I use organic hippie vegitarian stuff, but the meat kinda negates that, eh? LOL!)
2 tbls olive oil
Taste of garlic salt.
1/4 brown onion, sliced, not chopped.

Toss it all in the crock pot, set on low.

Go to work.

Leave work early to avoid (Or narrowly avoid) the maniacs driving back up the mountain without proper running gear or chains. (It's that time on my mountain!)

Get home, add whole chinese peas and Brocholli tops.

Crock it another hour. (I like my veggies crunchy)

Fill plate, top with Hollandaise sauce.

YUM!!!

OK, what do we name it? Too thick to be soup, too thin to be stew.

Crock-o-licious?

Thats what they call em at the stores here. They have a brown husk, but they are white on the inside, and fairly large. The sort of thing you would make onion rings out of.

Brown Onion

Not sure of thier origins. Might be a west coast thing.

Hey Gina,
In our humble kitchen we call it a "Fridgecleaner Stew" When Rose & I were first married, we made a lot of these just before payday. They are usually my job, and don't ever ask me to duplicate them, as The ingredients change each time. But they sure are good.

down it with a twelve pack and your three other room mates....priceless

I like BCS......
