My Son's Favorite Deer Jerky
I was given years ago a very simple jerky recipe that can be used on anything but we mostly use it on deer. Not that deer taste bad, it's cheap meat.
1 Cup of Worchestershire Sauce
1 Cup of Soy Sauce (I have tried different Oriental sauces)
1 TBS of Salt
1 TBS of coarse ground pepper
1 Cup of warm water
3 lbs of meat
Garlic powder
Combine all ingrediants and sprinkle garlic powder over top until white. Let stand in refer no longer then 24 hours then dehydrate. How long to dry: 6 to 8 hours depending on the machine you are using and the thickness of meat. I have the one from Wal-Mart which is inexpensive. If the meat is really thick I have taken a meat tenderizer and flattened it prior to putting it into the juice.
My son, Ez, is waiting for the first batch then rollinkies. Something I hope I can pass down to his girlfriend to make.
