This is an old family favorite that a niece entered in the 1996 State Fair of Texas and won a blue ribbon with. Grandmother McMillan would have been proud. Very simple.
Pear Jello Salad
small box lime Jello
12 ounces cream cheese
1 cup whipping cream
large can pear halves - drained, reserve 1 cup juice
Prepare jello with 1 cup boiling water and 1 cup reserved juice from pear can. Put pears and room temperature cream cheese in food processor and blend till smooth. Beat whipping cream. Fold all together and chill for at least 2 hours.
