Don't worry, Ian and Vicki, I have you covered when it comes to Peeps. Already have them in the trailer ready to go to NOG! It will cost you some cuddle time with the kittens, though!

I got eight boxes, ate one and the rest will go in the freezer to wait for the NOG. Got pink and yellow. I have heard both ways on the roasting. Guess we will have to experiment to see how to best roast peeps. They do strange things in the microwave but we'll see how they do over the open flame.
So you will know more than you ever wanted to know about peeps by the time you head home to Canada.

My favorite method for properly stalling them is... time.
However, I can't generally wait that long. Placing them in the freezer seems to do most of the trick.
I have some in a side drawer of my desk from last year. I think those are overdone.

Gee, you can probably resole your shoes with them about now. Or if you chimney needs repair, maybe you can use them as a spare brick or two?

OR, since the inside of my rig is gel coat, I can use em like one of the magic erasers to get off the little scuffs that happen.

Well, this poll lacked a couple critical options! Although, they were alluded to in a couple of the links. Peeps are a time-honored decoration and craft item (the diorama as an example). They are an essential and basic component of many microwave 'experiments' in combustion.
Years ago, I attended a vegetarian Easter dinner where the main entree was a rabbit shaped vegie-loaf surrounded by Peeps - after that, the fact that a parrot was walking around the table from shoulder-to-shoulder begging food off our forks, didn't even seem odd.
Peeps are not so much a food item as a creative entertainment item.

You can say the same thing about snorting coca cola out your nose, but I don't like that either

Thanks for the ideas... here's my plan:
Tomorrow, I am going to a Society for Conservation Biology fundraiser. It's sort of a dessert potluck only your dessert is supposed to represent an endangered species or habitat. SOooo, I will go to Walgreens and get a pack of pink Peeps. Then I'll go to the ice cream store and beg a few of those tiny sample spoons. If I poke the little spoon handles in the Peeps' mouths they can be Roseate Spoonbills!!!
Think it'll work?

You were right, Byron. They all survived the potluck without being eaten by predators!
The Ding Darlings did win "Most Creative", a $20 gift certificate to downtown Athens' restaurants and shops, and a beautiful Audubon calendar. There were some very cool concoctions at the meeting! We all had a lot of fun and a TON of sugar. I should have brought a designated driver with me
Thank you for the inspiration and encouragement.
