I'm shopping for a pressure cooker to use camping and can't decide on a size -- 4 qt or 6 qt. Usually I'm cooking just for myself but occasionally my wife comes along too. I like the Fagor line of pressure cookers in stainless steel. But it's the size that's got me stumped. I don't want to carry any more weight then necessary nor have too much bulk. Any thoughts?

I have a 5 quart Kuhn Rikon and purchased the seven quart model because it's better for stockmaking and for leftovers where favorite recipes are concerned

Not yet owning an RV myself, I'd think that a width difference would be a greater problem than a height difference when it comes to stovetops. Potential drawbacks: 1 storage cabinet height, and 2. Leftovers (given the small size of refrigerators in many of these little fiberglass trailers.

Thanks for your suggestions. In the end I purchased a 6 qt Fagor Splendid pressure cooker. I decided that the 6 qt size would work better for me particularly at home when not traveling. Fortunately I have the storage space in my trailer-to-be for this size. Used it for the first time today. Made a pot roast. Works great. I'm happy I got a pressure cooker and plan to use it a lot.
