Shrimp Alfredo

I made this at the cooking demo I gave at the Spring Fling in New England Rally and it was a great success.
Get a box of Pasta cooked, I like the Penne because the sauce will go inside of the tubs.
Next, in a large fry pan, I use my cast iron one.
Melt 2 tbsp, butter and grate 4 cloves of Garlic and fry. (do not burn)
Throw in 1Lb small Shrimp right from package with juices. (this gives it flavor)
Cook till pink.
Throw in one store bought, jar of Alfredo sauce. Heat through.
Throw in your Drained, still hot pasta.(this is how fast it all cooks)
then add 1/4 cup of grated parmmissan cheese from those shaker jars.
Stir and serve.
You better serve it yourself, because the people will all try to pick out all the shrimp. ha ha ha

For a spicy twist, mix the alfredo sauce with a little red sauce (or sauté some chopped, canned tomatoes after the garlic and before the shrimp) and add a generous dollop of your favorite red chili sauce before tossing with the pasta. Sprinkle with chopped, fresh basil, or for another twist, chopped cilantro. Got the idea from our favorite Arizona Italian-fusion restaurant chain, Oregano's. They call it Shrimp Diablo.

This is not a criticism, but I would suggest fresh shrimp, and freshly grated parmesan.

My wife makes alfredo to die for. A package of cream cheese goes in with the parmesan, garlic, butter, and some milk or cream to thin it. Sometimes she adds some mozarella, or a bit of this n that. The cream cheese makes all the difference.

All these additions sound great but for a fast easy camp meal and it's made all in one pot except the boiling of the pasta it's great.
I can not do spicy food so Shrimp Diablo is not for me and fresh parm. would be good but easy is easy.LOL
the addition of some cream cheese would make it creamy but I find with the juice from the bag of shrimp I need the grated cheese to thicken up the dish.
All sounds good though.
