winter is over

If the wind would just die down, I would pull out a little grill and cook some chicken breasts.

What is everyone else's first, after winter meal?

I know some of you live where you can grill out all winter long in comfort, but the North East was brutal, this year. terry r.

Winters over? Not here. We are a month behind. Freezing rain and snow right now. It's the first week of mud season so the roads are miserable even in the morning when they are firm. There is at least 1 foot of snow on the ground and the robins are very annoyed. No grilling yet I'm afraid. Raz

Oh my, Monday we had a good bit of snow. Finally, it is gone everywhere. The ice is melting on all the water. The wind has been the bigger problem here, the last 3 days. Raz, it is just around the corner for you. terry r.

It is still April here, a good chance for more winter yet, BUT we are climbing up to some gorgeous temps over the next few days. I sure hope that sticks.

Ribs! But you are right. Here in Texas we grill at least twice a week at our house.

I can wish winter was over; we had 18" of new snow on Monday. So we only have about 3-4 feet to melt in our yard before we can till the garden for planting. That should happen by sometime this fall! Going ice fishing next week - where there is 36 to 42" of ice to drill thru on the lake.
Happy grilling

We got 14" of snow on Thursday and more predicted for this upcoming week !! They are still driving on the ice here and at the present rate they will be ice fishing on the fishing opener (May 3rd) . I would love to grill some ribs or steak but my gas grill is buried in snow and probably out of gas

Well I am fortunate to be one of those folks that BQ's year round. Was out washing the vehicles this week in Vancouver in shorts and sunglasses. The cherry blossoms are all out.

Did have our usual its the end of winter meal though this week - fresh salmon on the BQ.

We escaped some of it when we left VT in a snowstorm, heading to CO and AZ and hope that when we get back it will be spring. We have a lot of mental notes on how to improve our winter camping arrangements and future experience. I'll be busy with a few projects on our Scamp 5th. To our surprise we had quite a number of nights below freezing in the Southwest. Global warming? Ha! Climate change? Yes, it is always changing - nothing new here.
