Post Abducted Flamingos..Next the Bunnys?

Heard a story about a R V retirement community in Fl where everyone had at least two flamingos in their front yard. One morning, much to everyone's horror, they discovered that all the flamingos were gone. In the classifieds of the community paper the next day was a notice that the flamingos had been abducted and were being help for ransom, details would be provided. Rumors flew, the police were called, investigations occured but no clues could be found. The next days paper brought another message that the flamingos were safe and being well care for, details would be provided for ransom soon. By the end of the week people's attitudes varied from being rather uninterested to mildly upset, to admiring of the nerves and co-ordination of the effort to just plain angry. The last message provided a series of clues that lead the searchers thru the community, the local shopping center and community park, where a key was located in the fountain, to a storage unit complex. The numbered key opened the large lock on the proper door, slowly the door was opened....there before their amazed eyes where all the flamingos: they had been blindfolded, each set of little feet tied together and duct tape placed around their little bills.
Once upon a time, in the forest campground of Cook Forest State Park, PA, one Easter Sunday weekend, a group of folks, greatly impressed with the number and variety of inflated, stuffed and other wise made to stand erect bunnies graced way too many sites planned a bunny abduction, right down to the notes to be posted on the bulletin boards through out the park. Then we chickened out - but the plan lives on in my mind so maybe one of these days......

Looking forward to the bunny sequel!

Oh, the horror!

It sounds like the work of a brother organisation to the GGLF, Garden Gnome Liberation Front, one of the most feared terrorist organisations in the world:
