Alas poor Yorick

Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio.

A fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy: he hath
borne me on his back a thousand times; and now, how
abhorred in my imagination it is! my gorge rims at
it.

Here hung those lips that I have kissed I know
not how oft. Where be your gibes now? your
gambols? your songs? your flashes of merriment,
that were wont to set the table on a roar?

Not one now, to mock your own grinning? quite chap-fallen?:sad

Ah, the slithy toves

Ah, but Morgan, why did Lewis have the slithy toves in the wabe?

And explain, if you can, how a tove becomes slithy?

Answer this and I yield to your jabberwocky.

Here I was l waxing poetic ... and you try to gimble it up.

The time has come
the Morgan says
to speak of many things
of sailing ships
and sealing wax
and Charles' iambic swings

And why this thread is here at all
and why we ever need it
which brings the silly question near
of why I even read it.

:o

Who are you people?

Now I know I've logged onto the wrong BB!

Augie, you're the only one who makes sense! I seem to recall you from Casitaland, but the rest?

Aloha

Hi George

Hi George ... Morgan, Augie and I stepped through the looking glass for a few minutes ... like the mad hatters we are, and which is why Augie's grinning like a Cheshire cat...certainly within our rights in the jokes and tall tales section of the website.

Just quoting a little Shakespeare and Lewis Carroll.

Jabberwocky, by the by, is by its very definition something that absolutely defies any kind of logic, rhyme or reason.

No scholar in the world can begin to explain why Lewis wrote about slithy tove nor can I or anybody else define a tove ... let alone a slithy one.

But you gotta admit ... it's fun!

Say What...

I'm sitting here trying to come up with the code to figure out what the heck you guys are talking about.

I thought I had just about figured it out but then @#*#@ Arrr.

OK, so I asked my sweet wife, what the heck are they talking about, do you have any idea, I asked?

So you were just typing CRAP. Man you had me going. OK, remember, I got the delete key.

George, we got to stick together.

Ok, you got us!

Ok, you got us!

Morgan and I were speaking in tongues.

And what we were saying was "Boy, is this ever a neat website! We're so glad Michael went through all the trouble to set it up!"
