Any TTs on Highway 101? Heads up!

A DC-10 had an exceedingly long roll out after landing since his approach speed had been just a little too high.

San Jose Tower: "American 751, heavy, turn right at the end of the runway, if able. If not able to do that, take the Guadeloupe exit off of Highway 101 and return to the airport on the feeder road."

You'd be surprised

...how many aircraft use ground markings for directions. Course this usually applys to small, lower flying aircraft. But, when in close quarters it's easier to follow landmarks than coordinates...least that's what I've been told. :o

I think I was on that DC-10.

The driver on one tried to do a nose wheelie on landing. I had to pay for my seat cushion; they couldn't get it out. :E

Sorry, Morgan, I know it wasn't funny when it happened, but <img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3e6e3c9ddc8a7laughabove.gif/>

I thought he was already on the ground and couldn't turn sharp enough. still in the air, different story, I can see that happening.
