Morgan

I have no idea where it's from - I got it via email today.

Jean - that's probably very likely! :o

For the Billion Dollars they spent on gun control,I hope they use it and shoot a few rounds out of it towards Ottawa before it falls under gun control.;)

Pointed at me?

Rick, that's exactly why I've always tried to maintain good relations with you friends to the north. Sling shot missile threat? Nah!;)

Here's a good a place as any to tell this story: My husband Steve grew up in Michigan. His dad was in the tree care business, and he had friends in Canada. His friends invited him up to do some hunting and mentioned they had some tree stumps they needed removed. He said, "sure I'd love to come and I can help you out with those stumps." In those days they used to blow the stumps out with dynamite. So Steve and his dad and brothers were on their way north and at the border they were asked, " do you have anything to declare?" They said, "yes, one case of dynamite, three shotguns, one 8mm rifle, and a 22 handgun." They said,"sorry sir, you'll have to leave the handgun here. You can pick it up when you come back." They said,"OK thanks." and away they went. Times have changed, eh?

Good story Maggie. Thanks for sharing it. It's hard to believe they were just concerned about the handgun. :wak

Chretien's a yayhoo in my book.....

but a dang sight better than ole Blacque Jacque Chiracque. (remember Bugs bunny's nemesis Blacque Jacque Shellacque??)

kudos to the Canadian military- I have nothing but respect for those troops who have never failed to answer the call to arms.
