Funny things about my Trillium
Today I communed with the inside of my new old 1978 1300. I tried to clean the elephant skin, which was surprisingly not very dirty...just beat up looking. So, I started to notice things....like a crack in one side of the dinette seat. Then some other minor damage on the same side of the trailer. I don't know much about the history of this sweet baby, but I'm beginning to think a single guy...and probably a pretty large one....might have lived in this trailer for awhile. One door hinge needs to be completely replaced (with the original type), and I might as well do the other one while I'm at it. (WHERE is my personal fabricator???) I decided to set up the bunk bed...and it pulled right out of the wall. Sigh....more $$$! I would not recommend the top bunk for anyone over 100 pounds without serious reinforcing!! So I will be researching ways to make that into a more stable bunk...because I want to take other folks camping. And for one more good joke, I discovered that the round pillow with the long trim around the edges was meant for a porta-potty! Had some fun with THAT!!
