Grass Houses
Maybe you've heard this one, it is pretty old...
Once there was a small village on a small island far from anywhere. The villagers lived in grass huts and stayed true to many of the traditions that had been passed down from generation to generation. They were lead by a kindly man named Chief Red Feather.
The tribe knew that they could make a good living off the anthropologists who came to study their ancient ways. However, they also enjoyed the finer things that modern living can provide. They had generators and tvs and many other conveniences. Chief Red Feather had an ornate carved wood throne from which he conducted the affairs of the people. Chief Red Feather's household would hoist his throne into the rafters of the house to keep it out of sight of visitors.
One day the anthropologists were seen approaching and the cry went up, "The scientists are coming!" At this, everyone raced to hide all traces of modern life. Not a moment too soon Chief Red Feather jumped out of his throne and they hoisted it into the air. It fell and crushed the king.
And thus we see that those who live in grass houses should not stow thrones.
