We had a great camping trip last August at Cape Lookout State Park, but we still wonder whether the ranger that checked us in had some latent hostility toward campers. Here's the tag we had to keep posted in our truck's window...
Our site was A55, but the ranger wrote the 55 in a rounded way that read as letters rather than numbers - SS instead of 55. We wouldn't have thought too much about it except we were there for a few nights and kept seeing the tag on our windshield, with what looked like a description of the occupants rather than the campsite number. I guess it was prophetic, by the looks of how this post went!
OK, Byron sent me a little hint....now of course I see it. I'm surprized because my mind is usually in the gutter where it doesn't belong Boy, do I feel like an A55.....
I hope you kept the tag! We keep a Boler Log Book and record various odd and interesting facts, tape in maps, coupons, tags, permits, receipts, flotsam, jetsom, et cetera.
And now we can have a new saying: "Don't be such an Eh fifty-five!"
