you know you are old when your son buys a nicer car than what you have been driving for years. (my 29 yr old PhD in Geology just bought a 2006 BMW 530xi, i'm still driving a ratty looking 1990 Mercedes 260E).

ahhhh, now THAT is Jazz!

We had the pleasure of seeing Ray Brown almost annually for about 10 years at our local jazz club with his various Ray Brown Trios, most notably with Gene Harris and Jeff Hamilton, in the 80s/90s.



Saw Oscar Peterson once or twice in that same club, too, but by the late 80s, he was having health problems, and just not up to the same level as he had been in the 60s.

With a nod to ZachO's recent under-sink adventures in his Bigfoot, you know you're getting old when everyone's using PEX plumbing with crimp fittings and you're still trying to use up all of the copper pipe and fittings you have stashed away in the basement.
