I have already received the verification four times and have yet to receive an email in any of my folders. Really going to miss this place when I'm "dead".

If they are trying to verify the email they have, and they have an old one, then wouldn't the email go to the old one, not to your new one?

Wow, over 24 hours of going back and forth through the verifying hoops. One message says I'm verified but nope, the verify box came up with every click even with going through the "stop" message box. This is a test as this the first time since this verifying started that I've got an open box for a post instead of a black page. Do have to ask, from some of the posts I read, it seems that when folks were still not verified they were still able to post questions/comments. If so, how did that happen?

I got the email and clicked on the link That didn't seem to work so I copied the number provided in the email and pasted it on the form. Then a message appeared saying I was already verified.

Completely correct. Except that the email that's listed on the pop-up is both the new one and the old one. It hasn't changed.

Just to clarify the process:


1. Members login to the site and will see the verification prompt box. Either click the 'verify now' link to send mail to your current address or update to a new e-mail address by following the prompts in that notice. In both cases an e-mail will be sent to the address of record.

2. The received e-mail has a verification link that must also be clicked. Until it's clicked any login to the site will still show that verify your account prompt.

3. For most users the mail arrives quickly but there can be up to a fifteen minute delay. If you click the verification box at the forum repeatedly you will get more notifications in your e-mail.

I never got the prompt in the app or the mobile website. I had to log in via the full desktop site, then I got it.

Possbly related to this verification thingy - I did the verify without problems, but now I am logged out every time I leave. It used to stay logged on.
Will this go away when we finally log on with our email address instead of our user name - or did I do something wrong?
