Again, ad placement.

Once again ads are covering content.
And, who is going to Montana right now?

Seems as if a good bit of MT and WY may be floating Glenn's way....

Divide

Guess it depends on which side of the divide.
A serious situation for a lot of folks and for a great National Park. Sad to see it unfold.

I agree with your ad placement complaint, Glenn. I’m currently getting them covering pics that I’ve expanded. Not helpful!

uBlock Origin gets rid of nearly all that kinda stuff. I wouldn't be blocking ads if they didn't detract from the usefulness of nearly everything now days.

If the internet is "free", then YOU are what's being sold.

I had bigger than usual side ads for a day. Since then they've been back to the usual always present, seldom obtrusive, tolerable size. No supplemental ad-block modifications required.

The ads on some sites are making the pages almost unusable.

This site is getting that way.

This site is actually pretty good (once they got the sidebar glitch fixed). Ads stay neatly in the header and sidebar. No pop-ups on top of content and no ads in the middle of threads.

One that’s gotten annoying is www.fiberglass-rv-4sale.com, especially when using a mobile device. I sometimes have a hard time getting the new pop-up ads to go away.

It’s just another way inflation is affecting our lives. “Free” sites cost more to run. .

That is true, but ads that cover content are a software issue that should be addressed.

I just caught Mary's post. Your screenshot didn't look like anything from this site, so I was confused. I now understand what you're saying. I hadn't experienced it before, but I have now. Until (and if) the tech team resolves it, I did notice if you close the enlargement window and reopen it, the ad seems to go away, at least it did the one time I tried it.
