Auto Un-log-in

Is anyone else having this problem?
I log in, write a note in the forum. Then have to log in again after it posts.

I don't get it.

Yes i've had the same problem + I sign in and it says name or password in memory is wrong - sometimes it takes 3 attempts to sign in .+ Over 1/2 the time when I click on search nothing happens . I think the new format has a few bugs

Denece and Steve, Are your browsers set to accept cookies from the site? I know things get wacky if the cookies aren't accepted.

Is it the "new" look (2.0) you're having problems with? Or is it the old "default" skin?

Mine still does it from time to time. My browser (Firefox) is set up to mirror myself. (It can be bribed with cookies, do-nuts and butter tarts )

Clicking "remember me" when signing in sometimes helps, sometimes not so much

If I exit sans hitting "log out" it seems to confuse the whee outta it, but if I do hit "Log Out" when I am leaving, the next screen says "all cookies deleted"

I agree this is a cookie handling issue. If you don't log out you will be disconnected from the server anyway after a bout 30 minutes of inactivity...

I attempt to log in .I go to name and type in the first letter of my name S.
My name Steve Dunham pops up and so does 6 dots in the password area.
I click on enter and it comes up that I have entered the wrong name or password and to try again, I sometimes have to try 3 or 4 times to log in before it is accepted (I NEVER CHANGE ANY DATA NAME OR PASSWORD )

I try to enter the search area by clicking on search and 1/2 the time the search menu does not appear . I then Log Off and Shut down my computer and start the process all over again That seems to help

Two things come to mind in most situations. When was the last time you shut down your computer? You'd be surprised the number of people who keep them in sleep mode. Rebooting often fixes a multitude of problems. When was the last time you deleted the cache (temporary files)? If you're having problems with passwords, I'd delete cookies (passwords) as well, just be aware you will lose the password(s) for all forms/web sites you log into.

What has been happening to me on my laptop, but not the iPhone app, is that I log in, read a few posts, reply and as the page refreshes after I send it is the log in screen asking me to please log in. I'll see if it happens this morning. I do shut down every day so I don't think thats the problem, and I delete my cache about once a week.
