Avatar help

Ok, I sized my avatar following forum rules and such, but it's ridicuously small compared to some, what am I missing?

It's because it's skinny... 80x23 pixels. If your avatar was more square it wouldn't be so obvious. Supposedly avatars are restricted to 80x80 and 100kb, but I know of several that are 120x90.

Mine is 48x55 and big enough!

You've got the 80 pixel width just fine. Like Donna said, it's the 23 pixel height that makes it narrow.

Ok, thanks. I guess that's all I can do. I saw some had much wider avatars, must be the 120 pixel ones Donna mentioned.
