Date of Birth:Change?

Hi!
I'm looking at my profile page and got a BIG kick out of the following "instruction" line, and here I quote:

"Please contact the Administrator if your date of birth has changed."

Question:
Can you make me not only younger, but rich and better looking to boot?

But seriously...
I notice that the site announces birthdays...though I use my real name, I prefer that my birthdate and year identifiers remain undisclosed to the public- since I've set my profile thus, can I assume that information won't be "announced" on my birthday?

That's a curious message, alright - especially since the User CP has a place for members to set their own birthdate/privacy preference.

You can set your profile to hide that Birthday info if you desire. The reason that you cannot change the date of your birthday is that we do our best to abide by COPPA laws designed to keep the under 13 crowd from registering. If you tell us that you are old enough to post we believe you, but if you tell us you're ten, find out it's too young to complete your registration and decide to change the DOB, that is not allowed.

If you would like to be 29 (again) just message a site team member and we can make the change for you

Since you yourselves already have that information, however...
This is not to say that I am unwilling to accept Lavish Gifts bestowed as celebratory gestures.
