I have a couple of opinions on this feature: 1] If I don't want to look at something I just don't click on it. 2] Since there is the probability or possibility that I may be one of those being ignored, I might as well not post anything. I will however continue to read those threads that interest me as I have found lots of useful information here that I greatly appreciate. Bob

I'm with you Bob... sorta like the channels on a television. It's about choices. I find there are nuggets of good information found on most threads. I TRY not to allow certain personalities dictate what knowledge I wish to gain.

Different strokes for different folks... I guess.

The ignore member feature has been here for awhile, what is new is the ignore thread feature. So, if a thread degrades to bickering and you just can't help but peek to read the latest fisticuffs, you can click on the thread tools and ignore the thread.

This forum is pretty well moderated, but other forums I read often stray into political stuff and I like the ignore thread feature especially well on those forums.

The posting rules say I may edit a post, but I have no idea how to access the post to edit it. Thanks for any help.

For a period after you post, there is an edit box (next to the word "Quote" to click on at the bottom of your post. You may then edit it.

After the period is up, you cannot edit any longer.

So if I have a "for sale" post and want to lower the price, is there a way to delete the original post, or should I just repost?

Most people just post again in the same thread to announce that the price has been lowered. Once you re-post, the thread goes to the top again.

Yes, add another post in your thread. Once you've SOLD your trailer, add that info in a new post and one of the moderators will notice it and move your ad to our "Classified Archive."

If you need to change the title of your ad, send a PM to either me or one of the other moderators, and we'll update it for you.

True, but different people have different ideas of fun and limited patience for differing opinions, often on mundane topics.

About attachment storage limits

When you upload a copy of an image file (or other attachment) it is stored on our servers. There are some restrictions on how much data can be stored.

Registered members are have unlimited storage space for images posted to threads and posts. We highly recommend that you reduce file sizes before uploading them to posts and threads however in consideration of those with slower internet connections.

If it's been sold, just add a post to the end of your thread, and one of the moderators will take care of it for you. If it's for any other reason, PM any one of the moderators and they will take care of it for you.

If you go into the sub-forum you want to start the thread in, there is a pencil at the top of the page. Click on that to enter the title, and the text for the body.

Lightbulb Confused

New to the forum. It is great! But not sure what I am doing. I probably should have started here first.
I noticed a check in a column next to my post. What does this mean, and did I do it, or someone else.
Thanks
Peggy.
Also, I would like to change my name that is shown to just Peggy. How can I do that?
Thanks

I don't think the software allows more than one screen name exactly the same. There's already a Peggy. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask!

I'm not quite sure what you are referring to but here is my best guess:
Are you referring to the envelope in the left column, the one that is either red or blue?

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page I linked to, there is a key for those symbols in the bottom left corner.
