Well the tutorials got wiped out, so lets see if I can help.
Pics can be no larger than 400 pixels wide. And the file size can be no more than 80k.
I find once I locate the picture I want and put it into my graphics program, I first change the file size...from 300dpi (which is typically what my photos from my camera are), down to about 96dpi.....check the file size. Now change the overall pixel size down to 400 pixels...what's the file size now. I use Photoshop Elements and there's a setting "Save for Web" which lets me optimize the file and I can get the pics down to about 60k without losing screen resolution.

These size restrictions are due to bandwidth and some of us are on dial-up larger pictures take FOREVER to load.
Oh, and once you have attached your picture...you can't preview the post...you'll lose the picture and have to reattach it. If you want to see your post and double check the spelling by previewing, do that before you attach the pic.
