This was a concern I had, so that is why I posted the snail mail address.

My online bill paying service has shot you off a paper check Michael. It should be there in a couple days! Hope its in time!

Hm.

I haven't been around that long, either. Great site. I got some really good help here for a couple of problems and had a good time chatting about FRVs.

What happened, exactly? I just logged on, so I didn't see any of the hacking folk are talking about.

The content of the discussion forums was destroyed by vandals, and some of the member configuration information (avatars, etc) was also affected. Michael is working at getting the structure back, but while familar categories are back, the posts are not.

[b]... Great site. I got some really good help here for a couple of problems and had a good time chatting about FRVs.
People generally are still able to get in and work with these new topics, so I believe you should keep asking, and keep chatting.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

Bob, they basically stole all the threads. Nothing since Michael changed the forums a while ago was saved.

Look around, there are no posts or topics left.

Sad. So much valuable info.. Kaput!

Michael:

Go dude, you're da man!

So if you make the software harder to hack, is it still called software? Guess you don't need my computer help, but I'm cheering for ya.

We prefer to think of it as "uncluttered."

But, you are right, James. It is so empty now! I'm just trying to laugh to keep from crying.

This door crashing thing really hurts, Mike, take a break every couple of hours, it's going to take a while to fix, just keep plodding along and don't get too frustrated, we're all rootin' for ya and know you'll pull it off

What a bummer, my condolences.

Was this a random attack? I can't see a group like this attracting very many enemies.

Personally, I think yes, it was a random attack. Vandalism. Wreaking havoc just because it's possible.

We'll get through it. It may take a few days... We appreciate everyone's support (not just financial, but the words of encouragement, and offers to help restore some of the content).

Some people are asking why this forum would be a target. The answer, it seems to me, has nothing to do with our subject of interest - FiberglassRV is just a site seen by many people which was possible to attack. I'm not taking it personally.. but I'm still mad.

As for restoring content, I'll give Michael whatever time he needs to get things to a whatever state is reachable, then see what makes sense to post. I don't have whole threads saved, but a few bits of information are available.

What Mary said.

We've always said that it's the people that make this site so special, and you have all just reinforced that.

When I logged on Saturday morning and there was only two topics, I was . Even when I got my e-mail notification, it didn't really hit me until I arrived on the forum and it was all but empty. This morning -- well, it's starting to feel like home again.
